La Posada 2025

La Posada is when small Mary, Joseph and donkey figures travel and stay in homes around the community throughout December. Would you like to host them for one night – then the following day take them to their next home?

When the figures are brought to your home – invite the previous hosts in, to share a drink / afternoon tea / a meal with you. It’s up to you and the previous hosts to arrange a convenient time for you both.

After the one night you then take them to the next home on the list and they will offer you hospitality. The last people on the list will bring the figures to the village Christingle Service on Christmas Eve and place them in the Nativity Scene at Dunscore Church.

The more people that are involved could truly help make ‘La Posada’ the most special and memorable festive event, whilst also bringing together people across our village and communities in the lead-up to Christmas.
