ALL Together NOW!

Each month we generally have a family friendly service in place of the more traditional worship.

ALL Together NOW! is suitable and enjoyable for all ages. Typically, there are lots of crafts, some singing, a story, a prayer and plenty of food. Everyone is encouraged to join in as much or as little as they wish. Some adults have a coffee and chat while others take part in all the activities but we do encourage our congregation to come along and take part, supporting the younger members of our church community.

One of the team explains the concept behind All Together NOW

We started “All Together Now” as a form of, what was more traditionally, a Family Service. We wanted to give one Sunday each month as an encouragement to some of the younger members of the congregation where they can participate fully in a service. It developed from the very successful Messy Church that ran for several years but we found that some of the of congregation found that difficult to relate to so we started All Together Now and have since modified it to incorporate more aspects of a more typical Sunday service. While there are aspects aimed specifically for the youngsters, you can now expect a good range of hymns as well as children’s songs. There are also prayers and a message and bible reading. Despite the changes, we do understand that some people don’t enjoy these services but we feel that it is important to look to the future of the church and to offer a service for the whole church family.
